Project Manager
The Company
Our client is a national not-for-profit company. Our client works collaboratively with agencies and service providers to provide technology-based services for the Australian education and Training sector.
The Role
This position is a critical position that will help to maintain and improve the current IT environment:
- Managing the projects from development and implementation stages through to BAU
- Identifying risks affecting the delivery of project outcomes and deploying contingencies to complete the project
- Identifying project dependencies and working with relevant departments to ensure plans can be carried out effectively and dependencies are resolved
- Develop and own project plans and timelines end-to-end, and lead cross-functional teams to ensure on-time delivery of high-quality products
- Responsible for the collation of accurate delivery reports to ensure financial and operational outcomes are managed
- Manage and develop trusted relationships with customers and partners
- Assist with writing professional proposals or papers
- Manage project backlogs and product releases
- Conduct workshops and presentations when required
- Display excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
- Be versatile, flexible, enthusiastic, and express a high level of self-motivation and initiative
- Demonstrate a well-developed work ethic
- Other related duties as required
Your Profile
To be the successful candidate you will be immediately available and have experience in the following areas:
- 4+ years of experience as a Project Manager or other relevant experience
- Strong and proven experience with leading a mix of small, medium and large technical projects from initiation to go-live
- Experience and facilitation of Agile practices and experience in delivering projects within a hybrid methodology (Agile/Waterfall)
- Experience in the implementation of online learning systems
- A background in software development using .Net, Java and/or PHP related technologies
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment with changing priorities and maintaining a schedule to reflect this
- Strong presentation skills, with the ability to effectively articulate research insights to stakeholders
- Excellent understanding of the SLDC
Desirable skills include:
- Experience with cybersecurity activities such as systems documentation, security documentation, incident management, risk management, vulnerability remediation, etc.
- Planning and/or managing changes to improve the security posture of an organisation or application
- Experience with tools and products; Cloudflare, Qualys Web Application Scanner, Azure DevOps, SharePoint, Confluence Cloud, GitLab, Jira Cloud
- Experience with the Digital Transformation Agency's Digital Service Standard
- Experience with the World Wide Web Consortium's (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)
- Experience with the ASD's Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF) and/or the ISM
- Experience with other cybersecurity standards; ISO, NIST, Essential Eight, etc
- Experience with information privacy
- Experience working with public sector agencies and education software companies
