FOH Supervisor/ Shift Manager

We are looking for a FOH Supervisor / Shift Manager to join our small, growing team. Join our tight-knit team at Bears Wine Bar in North Melbourne in this unique opportunity to work closely with ownership in a hands-on role where you can rock the floor and sling some awesome beverage and food.

As our venue gets busier, we’re looking for someone who can take genuine ownership of the floor and help support day-to-day operations alongside us.

• Oversee and run both day and evening shifts with confidence
• Manage bookings, seating flow and guest experience using OpenTable
• Lead a small FOH team, set the pace and support newer staff
• Maintain smooth service standards and a calm, warm floor presence
• Work closely with us on service rhythms, wine list changes and guest experience
• Handle basic end-of-night procedures and shift reports

• Strong FOH experience in a quality-focused venue
• Confident in leading a small team and running a room
• A genuine passion for wine — not just drinking it, but understanding it
• WSET 3+, sommelier experience or equivalent wine knowledge is a major plus
• Someone who values calm, warm, guest-first hospitality
• Comfortable balancing service flow, hosting, and team support

• $60–70k (commensurate with experience)
