Requirements
The Role:
We’re adding a Senior Quality Engineer to our already thriving team. As a Senior Quality Engineer at AP+, you’ll be playing a key role in the continual advancement of our mastery and practices and remain highly aware of industry trends. You’ll contribute to a team and be ‘on-tools’ to take responsibility for ensuring our delivery process runs smoothly across AP+, focusing on continuous improvement of our quality engineering practices, to ensure quality in all our applications.
This is a Max Term position
Primary Accountabilities, Duties and Responsibilities:
- Testing execution: Identify testable events and develop the test cases/test scripts for test case management. Perform manual test execution with a focus to automate as early as possible.
- Testing types and levels: Perform the design, development, execution, and analysis of testing types across testing levels, to ensure quality, speed and accuracy over our applications.
- Perform test automation: Develop test automation scripts for CI/CD pipelines to run for your squad/business unit to drive efficiency, improve processes, save time and resources and provide quality assurance in our products.
- Continuous delivery: Work with engineering teams to integrate functional and non-functional testing into continuous delivery practices.
- Continuous improvement: Facilitate retrospectives and quality reviews to identify areas for process improvement, promoting a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Cross-Functional collaboration: Collaborate closely with development, product management, and operations teams to integrate functional and non-functional quality assurance practices into the development lifecycle.
- Tool management: Help to evaluate, select, and implement testing tools and frameworks to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of functional and non-functional testing processes.
- Team leadership: Quality leadership through mentoring quality engineers and your peers, promoting a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
We'd love to hear from you if have:
- We need you to be a great communicator. You’ll need to represent Quality Engineering to the rest of AP+ and to external customers and vendors.
- Prior experience as a Quality Engineer (or equivalent) (approx. 5+ years).
- Strong understanding of tokenization concepts, including token generation and de-tokenization processes.
- Hands-on experience with Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, Bank Pay, and similar OEM payment systems.
- Knowledge of payment standards like EMVCo, PCI DSS, and tokenized payment specifications.
- Demonstrated expertise in testing real devices with POS terminals for payment scenarios.
- At least 3+ years hands-on experience in Web, Mobile, and API testing.
- At least 3+ years’ experience or exposure to non-functional testing.
- Experience in building and using different testing frameworks and automation scripts (e.g. Cypress, Playwright, Jest, Appium, Selenium).
