Highgate Group is a leading supplier of packaging and processing consumables to meat processors and food manufacturers across Australia, and we are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our fast-paced, passionate team.

About the Role:

In this exciting role, you will play a critical role in driving the business forward by developing new business opportunities, maintaining existing clients and ensuring sustainable long-term growth. The BDM will be responsible for generating their own leads, scheduling appointments, and managing their time between being in the office and on the road meeting with clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve monthly revenue & gross profit targets.
  • Achieve monthly activity metrics that focus on new business opportunities.
  • Conduct thorough discovery meetings with prospects.
  • Develop, build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Gather & maintain essential customer information within the CRM.
  • Demonstrate a driven and pleasantly persistent attitude, whilst upholding company core values and standards.
Requirements
  • You are a HUNTER! You are highly motivated by winning.
  • 3 years+ experience selling B2B in the same or similar role.
  • You have excellent verbal & written communication skills and are an equally great listener.
  • Trustworthy and professional, with a passionate, positive, can-do attitude.
  • Teamwork and collaboration are part of your DNA.
  • You are always empathetic and put yourself in your customer's shoes.
  • You build trust and have a great rapport with your peers and customers.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
