Job Description- Processing and managing the payroll function.
- Ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing in compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Handling employee queries regarding payroll matters.
- Reconciling and verifying payroll data and resolving any discrepancies as they arise.
- Assisting in preparing reports for both internal and external use.
- Keeping up to date with current payroll tax requirements and relevant laws associated with the processing of employee wage and tax data.
- Documenting and improving payroll policies and procedures.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Payroll Officer should have:
- A solid understanding of payroll and payroll tax laws.
- Excellent numeracy skills and attention to detail.
- Strong knowledge of computer software, particularly MYOB.
- Ability to handle confidential information.
- A degree in Finance, Business, or a related field.
