We are currently seeking a passionate and skilled Chef to bring creativity and precision to our kitchen team.

Job Responsibilities:- Menu Innovation and Cost Management: Design and plan seasonal menus that reflect the vibrant local produce of Surfers Paradise, while effectively estimating and managing food and labour costs.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure the highest standards of dish preparation from inception to presentation, maintaining our reputation for culinary excellence.
- Collaborative Team Leadership: Work closely with management and staff, including kitchen and service teams, to discuss and resolve any food preparation or dietary concerns, enhancing our cooperative work environment.
- Culinary Expertise: Demonstrate advanced cooking techniques and mentor kitchen staff on various culinary procedures, contributing to their professional growth.
- Food Preparation: Take the lead in preparing and cooking sophisticated dishes, ensuring each plate meets the high standards our patrons expect.
- Hygiene and Safety Compliance: Oversee and enforce strict hygiene and safety regulations within the kitchen to ensure a safe dining and working environment.
- Staff Development: Engage in the selection and training of new kitchen staff, fostering a culture of learning and excellence.
- Food Preservation: Implement food preservation techniques as necessary, optimizing resource use and minimizing waste.
- Develop and refine recipes that align with the seasonal availability of ingredients and local culinary trends.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure the delivery of premium ingredients, fostering strong professional relationships.
- Continuously engage in professional development to stay abreast of culinary trends and bring innovative ideas to the table.
- Creative and innovative, with a deep passion for culinary arts.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively in a high-pressure environment.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
- Experience Required: Minimum of 3 years in a professional kitchen environment.
- Qualifications: AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, or Diploma in Culinary Arts or a relevant field.
- Employment Type: Full-time (38 hours per week)
- Salary: $70,000 to $80,000 plus superannuation per annum.
