At Mugen House, we pride ourselves on delivering an unparalleled dining experience. Situated in a sprawling 280m² space, our restaurant can comfortably accommodate up to 150 guests, offering a delightful array of sushi, sashimi, cooked food, and an assortment of Japanese delicacies, as well as Japanese soft drinks, Saké, and wine and beer.
Operating 7 days a week for both lunch and dinner, we're committed to innovation and sustainability, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented work environment.Position Overview:
As an Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will be in partly charge of our day-to-day Front of House operations using your hospitality expertise and exceptional skills in catering to drive the success of our dynamic team. You will need to help our Restaurant Manager with a range of things and lead the entire FOH service team, especially when she is busy or day off.
Your primary job responsibilities include:
- Help lead the operation of our all-you-can-eat and A-La-Carte service, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for all guests. We need you to have relevant industry experience, maintain a smile and enjoy serving our guests.
- Help the director and restaurant manager arrange and coordinate a diverse team of chefs, cooks and service staff, emphasising the importance of quality and efficiency.
- Arrange daily purchases of cleaning supplies and consumables to maintain the cleanliness and operational efficiency of the facility.
- Upholding strict health and safety standards in all areas of the restaurant, ensuring compliance with local regulations and maintaining an immaculate dining environment. Engaging with customers to gather feedback and feedback on the restaurant's performance.
- Engaging with customers to gather feedback and resolve any issues, fostering a culture of hospitality and customer-focused service.
- Participate in the company's marketing strategy, advise on and co-operate with the implementation of the company's marketing and promotional activities. Familiarise yourself with our daily and different limited-time promotions.
Requirements:
- Language Skills. English must be competent. Japanese & English or Chinese & English is a plus.
- Willingness to take on new skills and ability to quickly familiarise yourself with the various processes involved in the hospitality service aspect of the restaurant. Proficient in restaurant order management software.
- Strong leadership, communication and customer service skills; detail-oriented, honest, reliable, conscientious, and committed to excellence.
- Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, public holidays, afternoons and evenings.
