Retail Manager

As we expand our operations, we are looking for an experienced Retail Manager to lead and oversee our Minto retail location. This role will play a crucial part in managing retail operations, driving sales, and ensuring the highest levels of customer service.
The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for a Retail Manager with strong leadership skills and a background in retail operations to take on a key role in our growing business. You’ll be responsible for sales performance, inventory management, customer service, and team supervision, all while supporting the company’s vision for sustainability.

Salary: $95,000 - $105,000 Annually + Superannuation
Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Customer Service
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries and concerns professionally.
- Train and motivate sales staff to ensure an outstanding shopping experience.
- Oversee daily store operations, ensuring a clean, organized, and well-stocked store.
- Manage inventory levels, stock rotation, and merchandising to maximize sales.
- Implement and optimize point-of-sale (POS) and inventory tracking software.
- Monitor and manage store expenses and budgets effectively.
- Recruit, train, and manage retail employees, ensuring strong team performance.
- Develop and oversee staff rosters, ensuring adequate coverage during operating hours.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and support to staff.
- Plan and execute marketing campaigns and promotions to drive foot traffic and sales.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop digital content and social media engagement strategies.
- Host sustainability-focused workshops and promote eco-friendly timber solutions.
- Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety (OHS) regulations.
- Conduct safety training for staff and ensure the proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
- Develop and implement emergency response plans.
Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma or higher qualification in Business, Retail Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience of 1-2 years in retail management, preferably within the building materials, timber, or sustainable products industry.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to train, develop, and motivate teams.
- Strong analytical skills to assess sales trends, inventory needs, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in retail management software, inventory tracking systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Passion for sustainability and environmentally friendly business practices.
