Client Management and Execution (CME) is the centre of credit and execution excellence within Corporate Finance, and the broader Corporate & Institutional Banking (C&IB) business. CME teams work closely with C&IB Coverage and Product Specialist teams to manage the C&IB customer portfolios, prepare financial, ESG and credit analysis, and execute complex large value transactions across the full suite of banking products.
In this Associate Director role you will:
- Take a lead role in structuring transactions: Preparing credit submissions, employing financial modelling where required and making recommendations on transactions to senior management and Credit. Credit submissions will typically comprise:
- - Lending facilities, including Subscription Finance and Net Asset Value (NAV) transactions to financial sponsors across the private equity, infrastructure, property, and credit funds asset classes
- Lending facilities to Managed Funds and Financial Services firms
- Markets and transactional facilities across both Private Capital and Managed / Real Money Funds
- Manage the risk profile: through monitoring and adhering to compliance requirements of a client portfolio
- Oversee workflow management between key stakeholders: i.e. Client Coverage, CME, Product Specialists, Credit, Legal (internal and external) and client support teams, to achieve a seamless client experience
- Proactively support Client Coverage: by identifying new clients, generate valued client and industry insights and business opportunities
- Provide guidance and couching: of junior team members
What will you bring:
- Extensive prior experience in working with Institutional or Corporate Banking clients in an analytical or comparable role including relevant industry and client experience in the Funds, Financial Sponsors, FIG, Property, Infrastructure, Structured Finance and/or Private Equity sectors
- Strong credit writing and analytical capabilities alongside transaction execution, portfolio management and documentation skills with prior experience in transaction structuring and financial markets products
- An understanding of the regulatory and compliance environment in which the Bank operates including capital, ratings and reporting requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Business or related discipline.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement internally and externally with clients is essential
