Technical IT Trading Support | Financial Trading

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
As the Technical IT Trading Support, you'll be providing level 1 remote support & troubleshooting to external customers to ensure connectivity and application functionality across several financial trading systems.
You'll work in a tenured and supportive team, and assist in several major projects.
Ongoing training on company specific in-house applications will be provided.
Responsibilities include:
- First line support to customers who are using the firm's trading systems.
- Monitor & maintain customer connectivity to these systems.
- Troubleshoot, triage, resolve customer issues + collaborate and escalate to internal teams to resolve customer issues; release testing & documentation.
- Issues include: network access, network connectivity & network performance problems; user account admin; software functionality queries; production/development issues etc.
- Project involvement - e.g. customer readiness + awareness surrounding product releases/upgrades etc.
- Conformance testing with larger customers.
- Shifts rotate between are 7am-3:30pm; 8:30am-5pm and 9:30am-6pm (Monday - Friday).
- Hybrid working (3 days in office, 2 days WFH) upon passing probation
REQUIRED BACKGROUND / KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE / PERSONAL QUALITIES
Suitable for an enthusiastic customer service champion who demonstrates logical IT problem solving / troubleshooting skills who loves learning and challenges themselves.
Ideal for someone with an interest in learning and building a long-term career in the financial trading industry.
The following is required:
- Background providing technical IT support & troubleshooting - e.g. IT Service Desk, Application Support etc
- Testing or Business Analysis skills are also advantageous.
- Display fundamental networking knowledge (TCP/IP, routing protocols etc).
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills - verbal & written.
- Demonstrate willingness & ability to research, absorb and learn new ideas/concepts.
- Knowledge of and/or interest in learning about financial trading/financial markets.
- FIX protocol knowledge/experience is highly beneficial.
- Positive, hardworking, and driven personality.
- Experience using a ticketing and CRM system.
