The Role:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Sustainability Lead to help us build on our commitment to sustainability. This is a unique opportunity to play a central role in shaping our sustainable practices and pushing our company to the forefront of responsible business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sustainability Strategy & Goals: Develop and implement sustainability strategies that align with our company values, focusing on reducing our environmental impact, promoting social responsibility, and supporting our communities.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (e.g., operations, HR, marketing, finance) to integrate sustainability and B-Corp values into business processes and decision-making.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including employees, suppliers, and customers, to foster collaboration on sustainability initiatives.
- Reporting & Metrics: Track and report on sustainability metrics and progress towards set goals. Ensure transparency in sustainability efforts and provide insights to leadership.
- Employee Engagement & Education: Lead internal sustainability initiatives, training programs, and workshops to educate employees and engage them in sustainability efforts.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in sustainability, corporate social responsibility, or related fields, with a strong understanding of B-Corp standards and certification.
- B-Corp Experience: Proven experience in guiding an organisation through sustainability initiatives in a B-Corp certified company with a solid understanding of sustainability frameworks, standards and reporting (e.g. GRI, SDGs, TCFD, etc.).
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of environmental sustainability, social responsibility, supply chain management, and corporate governance.
- Leadership Skills: Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence decision-makers across all levels of the organisation.
