Court Services Victoria provides corporate services and facilities to support the performance of the judicial, quasi-judicial and administrative functions of Victoria's courts and tribunal, Judicial College and Judicial Commission.

Collectively, Victoria's Supreme, County, Magistrates', Children's, and Coroners courts, the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT), the Judicial College of Victoria, the Judicial Commission of Victoria, and Court Services Victoria (CSV) are referred to as the ‘Courts Group'.

About the Role

CSV Finance Services is responsible for supporting the financial management functions of the Courts Group.

The Manager Revenue Accounting, reporting to the CFO, contributes to the Courts Group:

  • Aligning the strategic direction and operational priorities of the Revenue Accounting Team so that Courts Group objectives are achieved.
  • Leading the Revenue Accounting team, with functional responsibility for revenue accounting and related administration activities.
  • Ensuring the statutory obligations are met in relation to the State Revenue Information Management System (SRIMS) data management, including the uploading and submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual data returns to the Department of Treasury and Finance (DTF).
  • Working in partnership with other Court Group finance leaders to drive compliance with statutory financial obligations and requirements.
  • Providing expert advice and recommendations to the Chief Finance Officer (CFO) in relation to revenue accounting and administration matters which enhance the efficiency, effectiveness and quality of revenue management and administration and contribute to enhanced financial outcomes.

About You

What you will bring:

  • Demonstrated leadership experience
  • Expert knowledge and experience with government funding, accounts receivable, specific purpose (trust) accounts, and relevant financial systems (preferably within government)
  • Ability to critically think and problem solve, utilising evidence-based approach to inform decision making and resolve complex issues
  • Proven ability to articulate complex information verbally and in written communications
  • A relevant tertiary qualification
  • CPA qualification (or equivalent) is desirable
