Job Description
Key responsibilities of a Business Development Manager include:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the insurance industry
- Proactively identify and acquire new clients, focusing on non-technology areas such as underwriting, policies, claims billing, and tech services
- Expand opportunities with existing clients, ensuring long-term partnerships
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company sales targets
- Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities
- Prepare accurate sales forecasts and performance reports
- Participate in networking events and industry conferences
- Operate independently, taking ownership of sales strategies and execution in Australia
The Successful Applicant
The successful Business Development Manager should have:
- 10+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management.
- A strong track record of selling to large insurance businesses.
- Established network within the Australian insurance industry.
