About the Role

This role leads the Advanced Analytics and Business Insights teams to identify opportunities and generate insights that inform strategic decision-making. By interpreting macroeconomic, industry, sector, market, customer, and competitor trends, and deeply understanding the drivers of business performance, the role builds a clear view of where and how value can be created.

It transforms complex data into compelling narratives that shape commercial priorities, guide resource allocation, and support the organisation’s long-term growth agenda.

Key Responsibilities

Market, Industry & Competitive Intelligence
  • Monitor and analyse macroeconomic conditions, industry and sector trends, competitor dynamics, and shifts in customer behaviour., in relation to how these impact EVT.
  • Develop insight-rich narratives and opportunity maps across markets, regions, and customer segments to inform pricing, products, investment, and innovation strategies.
  • Deliver executive briefings and presentation ready curated insight packs that combine external intelligence with internal performance data to drive informed decision-making.
Strategic Opportunity Identification
  • Lead the Advanced Analytics team to generate insights on demand trends, customer segmentation, pricing sensitivity, and new value pools.
  • Apply a capital markets perspective to evaluate internal strategies, anticipating factors that influence external investor perceptions and long-term enterprise value.
  • Translate analytical findings into clear, persuasive narratives that connect insights to strategic choices and business priorities.
Commercial & Cross-Functional Partnership
  • Act as a strategic advisor to leaders in Finance, Commercial, Customer, Brand, and Marketing functions.
  • Develop high-impact materials, including board papers, investment decks, market entry assessments, and portfolio reviews, to influence enterprise direction.
  • Provide insight leadership for key cross-functional initiatives, ensuring data and analytics are central to planning and execution.
  • Establish an Advanced Analytics team that delivers both prescriptive analytics and act as a strategic problem solver for the divisional teams.
Leadership of Insights & Analytics
  • Lead and develop high-performing Advanced Analytics and Business Insights teams, ensuring alignment with enterprise strategy and commercial goals.
  • Foster a culture of opportunity-focused, insight-led thinking—translating analysis into action across all levels of the business.
  • Coach team members to deepen their understanding of business drivers and strengthen their strategic storytelling capabilities.
Enterprise Analytics & Performance Enablement
  • Set the direction for how analytics and data insights are embedded into business decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Guide the development and application of models and tools that support opportunity sizing, scenario analysis, and strategic forecasting.
  • Ensure insights are operationalised through business processes, performance cycles, and transformation initiatives.
Strategy Shaping
  • Contribute to the shaping of corporate strategy by challenging assumptions, identifying growth levers, and surfacing ideas grounded in commercial and market realities.
  • Collaborate across the enterprise to align business unit strategies with external opportunities and internal capabilities.
  • Support strategy formulation with structured analysis, opportunity framing, and clear communication of strategic trade-offs.
