Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Financial Controller to join our team!The Financial Controller plays a pivotal role in the organisation’s financial management, overseeing all aspects of accounting, reporting and compliance. This position requires a experienced professional with analytical skills and a deep understanding of financial and accounting principles and regulations.
Responsibilities- Lead the financial accounting and reporting functions, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Coordinate external audits and tax filings, serving as the primary point of contact for auditors and tax advisors.
- Stay abreast of changes in accounting standards and regulations, ensuring compliance and recommending updates as needed.
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures.
- Evaluate and implement accounting software and systems to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes, collaborating with department heads to develop and monitor financial plans.
- Providing oversight of cash management and treasury activities.
- Manage and develop finance team members, providing mentorship and guidance to support their professional growth.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or related field required.
- Relevant professional certification preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles (BIG4 background preferred).
- Strong proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills preferred.
- Comprehensive understanding of financial principles, accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and identify key insights.
- Proven ability to identify and solve complex financial problems effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey financial information clearly and concisely.
- Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Ability to think strategically and contribute to the development of financial strategies and business plans.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and business needs in a dynamic environment.
