Financial Analyst

With a strong focus on sustainable growth and data-driven decision-making, NRMA is seeking a full-time Financial Analyst to join their dynamic finance team. The Financial Analyst will play an important role in supporting strategic initiatives and business performance.The role will develop and apply actuarial, mathematical, statistical, and quantitative principles and techniques to solve various problems across business and finance.
The annual salary for this position is $80,000 to $85,000 plus superannuation.
Responsibilities include:
- Identifying, investigating, and resolving complex financial and business challenges in insurance pricing, superannuation schemes, pensions, annuities, and dividend strategies.
- Assessing financial forecasts and performance indicators for insurance providers, financial institutions, government bodies, and other entities.
- Developing innovative policy frameworks, evaluating risk exposure, and analysing investment options in sectors such as life and health insurance, superannuation, financial markets, and mutual societies.
- Creating mathematical models to replicate and understand various financial and operational processes.
- Applying models to real-world data, refining assumptions, and adjusting parameters to improve accuracy.
- Using computational techniques and numerical methods to build algorithms and conduct complex calculations.
- Collaborating with organisational leaders and clients to define research objectives and focus areas.
- Outlining required data sets and selecting appropriate data collection, evaluation, and analysis methods.
- Reviewing and reporting on source data's accuracy, relevance, and reliability.
- Interpreting data sets and generating statistical insights to identify, explain, and predict emerging patterns and trends.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
- Should have at least one to two (1-2) years of experience in a similar setting.
