Job details

The role also involves making recommendations regarding the development of new and innovative solutions to current IT related issues. In the provision of advice to senior managers on systems issues, the position operates within a framework established by the policies and practices of the IT Unit and is guided by the client's Act, other relevant legislation, and accepted practice.

• Administer, implement, configure, and maintain infrastructure hardware and software components.
• Perform maintenance patching and hardening activities as required.
• Identify and remediate Cyber related issues and vulnerabilities relating to any Infrastructure components.
• Converged Infrastructure implementation, configuration, and maintenance.
• Storage hardware implementation, configuration, and maintenance.
• Design, deploy and maintain infrastructure solutions and components based on the needs of the Technology department, wider client's organisation and best practices.
• Secure administration (and the implementation of it).
• Firewall administration.
• Delivery of projects, both working autonomously and part of a larger group.
• Create, update, and maintain documentation for the Infrastructure solutions as they evolve.
• Interstate travel to branch office for maintenance and auditing purposes.

Afterhours maintenance activities

• Deep knowledge and understanding of the latest software and hardware equipment and systems, HPE Hardware, Virtualised/cloud environments.
• Specific skills and exposure to: Microsoft Windows Server Operating systems including Group Policy, Windows Active Directory, DNS, ADFS; Linux Operating Systems; VMware virtualisation stack including vCenter, SRM, Lifecycle Manager and ESX; Microsoft Azure Cloud; Anti-Virus Tools;
