Kelp Restaurant Ballina are looking for a Chef or Cook to join our superstar team.We are looking to build our tiny team of legends into a full brigade! This is a fantastic opportunity for the right individual to be a part of the next big thing on the northern rivers!
To be successful, you should demonstrate excellent organisational skills and ensure that all duties are completed in a timely manner and comply with food health and safety regulations.
This is a full-time position and the salary expectation is $70,000 to $80,0000 per annum.
Responsibilities:- Ensuring that all food is of excellent quality and served in a timely manner
- Food preparation of all components of each dish on the menu
- Reporting to the head chef and following instructions
- Ensuring you work safely and making sure food preparation and storage areas meet sanitation standards in the kitchen
- Stocking inventory/rotation and supplies
- Cleaning prep areas and end of service kitchen pack down
- Keeping up to date with industry trends
- Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Commercial Cookery or Hospitality Management
- A minimum of 2-3 years experience working in a fast pace, high-volume restaurant
- Good communication skills
