The Opportunity
As part of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing jet skis, including: diagnosing faults, replacing parts, and performing routine maintenance. The successful applicant will need to become proficient in using tools and equipment, understanding mechanical and electrical systems, have good communication skills and time management skills.
Key Responsibilities
Skilled in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing jetski mechanical and electrical systems.
Servicing: Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and tune-ups.Parts Replacement: Replace worn or damaged parts with precision and care.
Tool Proficiency: Utilise a wide range of hand and power tools for disassembly, assembly, and repair.
Safety: Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures when working with tools, machinery, and chemicals.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of service and repair work, including parts used and time spent.
Communication: Provide clear and timely updates on job status, including completed work, ongoing tasks, parts used, and time logged.
Problem Solving: Think critically and creatively to diagnose and resolve complex issues.
New Engine Installation: Install and fit new jet ski engines and other components.
General Mechanical Duties: Perform other general mechanical tasks as required.
Skills and experience:
Prior experience as a marine / jetski mechanic is preferred but not required as training can be provided to motivated applicants.
