Purpose of the Role
The purpose of this role is to provide effective management and oversight of maintenance and warehouse staff at our brand new, purpose-built QLD warehouse and maintenance operations. This facility supports the in service sustainment of the Commonwealths JNT8190 deployable bulk fuel storage and distribution capability.
Reporting to the site lead the Maintenance Manager will be responsible for planning work activities and leading a team of skilled maintenance technicians ensuring the smooth and efficient completion of maintenance activities in accordance with approved plans.The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a field maintenance team leader or supervisor from the automotive, heavy vehicle, mining or petrochemical industry.
Work Location: Brisbane warehouse, Beal street Meadowbrook QLD 4131. Hybrid is subjected on operation needsKey Responsibilities
- Development of Maintenance schedule and monitoring of customer equipment usage.
- Prepare usage and KPI reports utilising WFS and customer ERP data sets.
- Spare parts inventory and stock level control both at WFS and customer site.
- Ensure stock holdings are up to date and lead stocktake activities.
- Ensure the resupply of equipment and spares are provided within the time limits agreed both at corporate and customer levels.
- Delivery of Planned Maintenance (PM) and Routine Maintenance (RM) programs in conjunction with Ad hoc Maintenance activities.
- Provide direct support to the Project Team and global stakeholders.
- Ensure that equipment availability is at the required level to support all tasks.
- Support other areas of the business as directed from time to time.
Key Requirements:
- 10 years experience as a TAFE Qualified Technician (either Cert 2/4, or Apprenticeship equivalent).
- 5 years experience as a field maintenance team leader or supervisor.
- Have current MHE License or the ability to obtain.
- Must have Current Drivers’ License.
- Working with international suppliers.
- Excellent organizational skills and time management skills.
- Understanding of WHS and OHS legislation in an engineering or fuel environment.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Commonwealth baseline security clearance.
- Mechanical and electrical trade experience including fault finding and diagnostics.
- Previous experience contributing to the standardisation, compliance and efficiency of preventive and routine maintenance, processes and systems.
- The ability to work in high pressure situations and “think on your feet”.
- Fulfil other duties and responsibilities that may be required as determined with your managers from time to time.
- Provide advice and assistance to Project Managers and other business stakeholders on all Maintenance activities related to program of work.
- South Brisbane based employment with regular local and interstate travel to customer and WFS site’s within Australia.
