Today, the average pet only reaches 37% of their full potential lifespan and statistics have shown us that many suffer from dental disease, cancer, and obesity.Simply put, the status quo is not enough.

Currently, we have a team of 200+ pet-obsessed people and we're continuing to grow (yes, looking at you!). These carefully selected people are dedicated to building the next generation of technology and products to help empower pet parents to take control over their pet’s wellbeing.

Our Mission

The Opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Strategy Manger to join us in our mission to change the pet wellness game, and help our furry friends live out their best lives. You will sit in our Strategy team, working collaboratively and cross-functionally on Lyka’s highest priority areas.In this role, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future vision for Lyka, and the roadmap to get there.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the VP of Strategy, and broader leadership team to shape Lyka’s vision and long-term strategy, covering new products, channels, markets, and capabilities, as well as the operational investment required to meet these strategic demands. Help to define the rollout of the Strategic Roadmap process across the organisation.
- Translate company visions and goals to medium-to-long term forecasts, and manage governance process to ensure these are met.
- Input into budgeting process to ensure alignment with medium-to-long term planning, and alignment with overall company vision.
- Lead and mentor the strategy team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
- Work with the VP of Strategy to plan team capacity, manage cross-functional priorities and expectations.
- Build strong relationships with cross-functional stakeholders across the business.
- Work with relevant internal and external stakeholders to define and execute critical projects.
- Live and work in accordance with Lyka's values and principles while at the workplace.
Requirements
We are open to varied levels of experience and backgrounds for this role. The below relates to a Senior Manager candidate, but if this role sounds interesting to you, but you don’t quite tick all the boxes below, reach out and we can talk about calibrating a role to suit your experience:
- Experience leading teams, with 5+ years' professional experience in strategy consulting, investment banking, corporate strategy, or related roles, with a proven track record of driving strategic initiatives and delivering results.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to synthesise complex information into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
- Ability to breakdown complex problems into addressable pieces, as well as contribute meaningfully on end-to-end topics related to Lyka’s business (e.g. D2C growth, manufacturing, supply chain).
- Collaborative, humble, and eager to learn, naturally able to influence others and to work cross-functionally.
- Doer mindset, eager to roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty with execution.
- Experience in a high-growth start-up environment a plus.
- Work in a fast-growing start-up, experiencing what goes behind the scenes to sustain hyper-growth for a start-up with a physical product!
