Current opening for a Senior Business Analyst in the Financial Services sector (prior Financial Services experience is essential).
You will be working on a back-end applications - payment processing, loans, repayments, contracts, servicing etc. Any project experience in this area would be greatly beneficial.
Technical skills around SQL and platform configuration are also needed here.
Skill set / Experience needed -- Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Expertise in business requirements documentation, process mapping, and impact analysis.
- The expertise to conduct in-depth business analysis, including impact analysis, to identify IT-related opportunities for improvement and optimisation.
- An aptitude for identifying discrepancies in data and excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document technical and business requirements.
- Model business processes and identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Develop business cases, process maps, and functional specifications for IT projects.
- Analyse and interpret complex data to provide actionable insights for IT solutions.
- Lead and facilitate workshops and meetings with stakeholders to define project scope and objectives.
- Work closely with IT and development teams to ensure solutions align with business needs and technical feasibility.
- Contribute to the identification and reporting of project progress, risks, and issues, and drive resolution activities.
- Support business transition through training and documentation.
- Assist with support investigations/incidents to identify root causes and facilitate resolution.
- Foster continuous improvement in BA practices across the team.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision while managing competing deadlines.
- Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and quality assurance practices.
- Familiarity with IT Security, Governance, Compliance, and Risk Management principles.
