Farm Plant Operator

Mason Bros Vegetable Farms, located in Werribee South Victoria, is an industry leader in growing and supplying fresh cut vegetables throughout Australia.

We are currently seeking a Farm Plant Operator to join our farming team. This role is primarily focused on operating farm mobile machinery in our planting and harvesting operations as well as assisting with other functions within our farming operations.

• daily set up of farm equipment and machinery for planting and harvesting operations
• conducting regular farm machinery preoperational and maintenance checks
• assisting with co-ordinating and undertaking daily planting and harvesting farm site activities
• undertake sowing, planting and harvesting operations and programs in accordance with production plans and schedules
• safe operation of farm machinery including planters, harvesters, tractors and attachments
• assist work crews and participate in cleaning programs in accordance with food safety guidelines

• at least Certificate III in Horticulture / Agriculture or equivalent
• experience operating a variety of farm machinery including planters, harvesters, tractors and trailer towing
• practical experience in horticulture / vegetable farming
• enjoyment for working outdoors in farming environment
• being a team player, with a hands-on and helpful approach
• a current valid driver's license (essential)
• forklift license (desirable)
• good communication skills
• flexibility to work additional shifts / hours during peak season demands

a competitive salary range $70,000 - $75,000 per annum + super, ongoing employment and stability with one of the leading vegetable farms, career advancement opportunities.
