About LEAP

LEAP is the leading provider of Legal Practice Productivity Solutions in the world and is part of ATI – one of the largest international LegalTech companies. For more than 30 years, our curiosity and commitment to continual improvement has kept us reimagining productivity tools for lawyers and their staff to support our guiding purpose, to ‘Help lawyers who help people’.

The market leading software we develop and support is used by more than 100,000 lawyers and their staff in small and medium sized law firms.

Working alongside our international team of passionate high achievers, you’ll join a fast-growing technology business where things seldom stay the same for long. With more than 1000 smart, caring and ambitious ‘LEAPsters’ working together across Australia, Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, the Republic of Ireland, Poland and New Zealand, you’ll find yourself in good company here.

Meet the Employment Law team that you will lead

Imagine...you're an Employment Lawyer. You want to make sure you stay at the top of your game, being the best you can be for your clients and staying ahead of your competition.

This is an opportunity for a leader who feels passionately that these goals are possible through custom technology and AI. You will build a new division and manage all aspects of a dedicated Employment Law product and sell it throughout Australia.

As an influential and collaborative leader you'll join Senior Leadership and build a small but mighty team that includes lawyers, content specialists, product and developers to create employment law specific products.

What you'll do

AI is the future and LEAP is at the forefront technically of applying AI into the legal industry. You will play a huge part in making this happen and driving change for the better. You'll bring your expertise in employment law and your ability to understand our clients to focus on the needs of Employment Law firms.

You'll have wider support from experienced LEAP stakeholders and some key centralised functions but it's you who makes the decisions that drive the direction this business unit takes. The products you develop will see your colleagues in employment law soar and put them ahead of every other lawyer out there.

To make this happen, you will:

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of the needs of Employment Law practitioners and ensure clients use LEAP Employment Law in the best possible way.
  • Partner with LEAP Development technologists to enhance the core product for employment law.
  • Sell LEAP Employment Law nationally, including attending seminars, networking events, and relevant conferences.
  • Ensure content is optimal for Employment Law.
  • Work with integration partners to deeply integrate companion solutions, such as digital will storage and related tools.
  • Investigate new integrations or other solutions to support employment law solutions.
What you'll bring
  • 5+ years of recent experience as a practicing employment lawyer.
  • A strong understanding of and passion for AI technologies and their application within the legal sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead teams internally and externally with vision, clarity and collaboration.
  • Experience developing legal content or automated forms related to employment law.
  • Strong presentation skills – you can effectively present LEAP features to a group of people and ability to read the room.
You are the type of person who
  • Is professional and approachable, with high impact communication – you can clearly and succinctly convey information and ideas to individuals and groups in a variety of situations; communicating in a focused and compelling way that drives others’ thoughts and actions
  • Is a collaborative leader with the ability to inspire and manage teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Is a team player who understands that diverse opinions make a team and the benefit of achieving goals and decisions together.
  • Is curious - you're not afraid to ask questions and explore.
Why join LEAP?
  • Make an impact. You won’t be another ‘cog in the wheel’ here. We give full trust and autonomy for you to be heard, to work on big & complex projects – and to make a real difference.
  • Work with a group of authentic, passionate people who love what they do.
  • Well-funded and global. LEAP is the leading provider of Legal Practice Productivity Solutions across Australia, Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, the Republic of Ireland and New Zealand. We're part of ATI – one of the largest international LegalTech companies.
  • Your work matters. Helping lawyers help people sits at the heart of everything we do. We solve real world problems that improve and support local, everyday law firms. So they can do their best work for the people in the communities they serve.
  • Flexible and hybrid working. We'd like to find this person in Sydney, but we want you to work in a way that suits you and we're open to flexible arrangements that support you.
  • Grow your career with us. Our founder, Christian Beck, has been building LegalTech businesses for over 30 years. There are opportunities galore to expand your career based on where your interests lie. We're not afraid to pivot based on market conditions - you will always have the opportunity to stay ahead of the curve and do your best work here.
