Asian Cook

Location: Willetton, Perth, WA

We are currently seeking a skilled Asian cook to become a valuable member of our team. The position is going to be a long standing for passionate applicants.

Key Responsibilities:

• Should have strong skills in preparing and cooking traditional South Indian, North Indian, and Hyderabadi cuisines.
• Should have the ability to support the head chef in developing new dishes while maintaining authentic flavours and improving existing ones.
• Must have the passion to cook tasty food and maintain food quality and taste consistency.
• Should have good knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations in the kitchen.
• Knowledge in storage of Asian spices and experience in handling inventory and stock control management
• Perform kitchen duties as assigned by the Head Chef or management.
• Should possess kitchen management skills and experience working on hot plate and cold plate
• May involve in training and supervising junior kitchen staff and apprentices.

Required Qualification and Experience:

• A minimum of 2 years of professional experience as cook
• Should posses a recognised relevant qualification in Hotel Management or Commercial cookery.
• Deep knowledge and passion for Indian cuisine, North & South Indian, and open to learn and prepare new dishes
• Good communication skills.
• Good understanding of Indian spices and ingredients their usage.
• Ability to work in flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
• Priority is giving for Australian citizens and Permanent residents or visa holders who are eligible to work in Australia.
