Yolk Group is looking for an Group Chef to lead the kitchens and culinary teams across Convoy Moonee Ponds, Ophelia Westgarth, Terror Twilight, Terror Twilight Catering and HiFi Sandwiches.This role works across a diverse mix of venues, spanning café service, evening dining and catering operations. Working closely with Directors, Operations and venue leaders, you will oversee menu development, culinary standards, team growth and operational performance across the group while helping shape the ongoing direction of our venues.
Key Responsibilities
Culinary Leadership
Lead menu development and seasonal innovation across all venuesWork with Directors and Head Chefs to ensure menus align with venue identities and the Yolk vision
Mentor Head Chefs and foster creativity and growth across teams
Operations & Performance
Oversee multiple kitchens while maintaining quality, consistency and service standardsManage food costs, labour targets, stock control and waste reduction initiatives
Drive operational efficiencies and support venue performance
Team Development
Recruit, mentor and develop kitchen teams and future leadersBuild a culture focused on professionalism, accountability and growth
Support performance reviews and ongoing staff development
Quality, Brand & Compliance
Maintain food safety and compliance standards across all venuesSupport events, promotions and customer experience initiatives
Work alongside the social media team to support the promotion of venues, menu launches and broader group marketing initiatives
About You
You will bring strong leadership experience and a passion for hospitality, along with:
Experience as an Executive Chef, Group Head Chef or as a seasoned Head Chef looking to take the next step.Experience across both day and evening food offerings
A diverse culinary background spanning multiple cuisines, service styles and venue formats
Strong commercial understanding and multi-site experience
Proven ability to develop teams and future leaders
Passion for innovation and continuous improvement
