Your new opportunity As the Senior Procurement Officer at Queensland Treasury, you will have the chance to make a significant impact by managing and governing high-quality procurement services. You will work in a small team of dedicated professionals, supporting and driving better procurement outcomes through effective partnering with business areas.

This role offers a unique opportunity to leverage and grow your procurement knowledge.

In this role, you will: - Contribute to the development of the Procurement Services Team strategy, ensuring alignment with departmental and government procurement outcomes.- Lead and undertake all activities within the full procurement lifecycle, including planning, sourcing strategy, and contract management, with a focus on ICT services.

  • Advise and support internal business areas to enable best practice procurement outcomes.- Monitor the procurement inbox and efficiently allocate tasks and activities within the team.- Contribute to the development of whole-of-government procurement services, processes, systems, and initiatives.- Manage positive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, providing sound independent advice.- Communicate and build knowledge within the team and support clients with the procurement process.- Research, collate, and prepare reports, briefing materials, and other correspondence

What experience you will bring: - Experience in procurement and contract management, including knowledge of Queensland Government procurement.- High-level verbal and written communication skills.- Ability to provide advice at different levels of seniority.- Experience with stakeholder engagement and management.- Experience with ICT procurement and digital services.

Whilst there are no mandatory qualifications needed for this role, a relevant procurement accreditation would be highly regarded
