About the role:
The role will be to manage a broad range of accounting, tax & wealth creation processes, with the opportunity for career progression within the firm. This candidate will be responsible for reporting to the Management team in our Melbourne office.
This role would suit a candidate with experience working in business services or tax compliance previously.
Your responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:
- Preparation of the monthly/quarterly financial reports
- Preparation of the cash flow forecast, supporting analysis and reconciliations, for inclusion in the monthly Finance report, and reporting of weekly cash balance
- Work with Director of Finance to provide support to the internal and external auditors as required
- Assist in the creation and implementation of budgeting and forecasting procedures
- Assist the team through the month end process, including setting of month end timetable and monitoring progress
- Seek continuous improvement of financial accounting processes to enable the delivery of an efficient and stream-lined service, documenting changes to processes and procedure
- Play an active role in the development of financial reporting and the projects set up to deliver this to enhance overall financial control
- Experience managing or training a team is desirable
- Degree qualified
- Ideally you will be CA/CPA qualified,
- Have at least 5+ years’ experience (either from chartered or large corporates),
- Excellent communication skills, be able to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders and have strong attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience and proficiency with Xero including Practice Manager, BGL360, MS Word and MS Excel would be beneficial
- Strong desire to succeed and achieve goals both as a team and individually
- Enjoy providing exceptional service to clients
- Exceptional communicator (written and verbal) with clients, stakeholders and fellow team members.
- Superior eye for detail over your work and the work you review of others.
