The Company

Robert Half is currently recruiting an experienced Senior Accountant for an engineering and design company. Within this role, you can actively support a business that thrives on challenges and large, multifaceted projects, often collaborating with other leaders in architecture and construction to turn bold ideas into tangible, lasting results

Working closely with the Finance Manager and CFO, they are seeking to appoint a passionate and professional Senior Accountant to undertake a broad range of duties within the Finance team. This is a critical support role primarily responsible for a variety of financial tasks crucial to the success of the business including delivering timely and accurate financial reports, reconciliations, journals, profit and loss review, budgeting and forecasting

This is a temporary to permanent role as they need someone immediately to support during a busy start to the year. If you are immediately available, have long-term working rights and are ready to join a motivated and supportive finance team with a fantastic culture… then this role is for you!

The Role

You will report to the Finance Manager and carry out the responsibilities of the Senior Accountant

Some typical duties will involve:

• Financial Reporting and Analysis
• General Ledger Management
• Month-End and Year-End Closings
• Compliance and Internal Controls
• Audit and Tax Preparation
• Variance Analysis
• Budgeting and Forecasting

Your Profile

To be successful you will have proven experience in a high-volume accounting environment with a minimum of 3 years' experience as an Accountant. The following attributes will also be highly advantageous:

• Tertiary qualifications in Accountancy and Finance
• System savvy
• Strong Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint & Word skills
• Excellent communication skills - Approachable and helpful manner (essential)
• The ability to draft accurate and concise financial reports
• Self motivated and the ability to manage workload and deadlines
• Engineering background
• CPA/CA Qualified
