About the Role
The Partnerships Executive will be responsible for providing administrative support through the sales & account delivery process. This role is a contract position from March 2025 to the 20th October 2025.
SXSW Sydney offers hybrid working options: 4 days in the office and 1 day working from home (Friday’s).
Requirements
What does a day in the life look like?
Administrative support- Be highly organised & self-motivated with the ability to juggle multiple tasks at once, balancing time across various projects and initiatives.
- Provide high level organisational and administrative support, including minute keeping, agenda & output management, and the organisation of team WIPs & interdepartmental meetings
- Support with management of calendars, including scheduling client meetings and booking meeting venues or rooms.
- Assist Partnership Managers with the contracting and legal process, managing the execution and signing of agreements through Docusign.
- Support Partner account management across various workstreams; Partner benefit delivery, hospitality & networking events, ticketing administration, post-campaign reporting
- Administration support to ensure the finance and invoicing process is seamlessly executed
- Other ad hoc duties as required
- Assist with the creation of sales materials, activation plans, and campaign delivery presentations/decks, ensuring alignment with team strategy and partner needs.
- Responsible for updating and maintaining key databases using Monday.com: contact & leads board, sponsor deliverables board, critical path
- Strategic selling; research potential leads assist with building proposals to secure new partners
- Assist with the on-site management of networking events and partner-facing activities during the event week, ensuring smooth execution and client satisfaction.
About you
What are we looking for?- 2+ years' experience in a Sales, Agency, Customer Service or Partnerships role, within a fast-paced environment
- Experience working in the major events & festivals industry preferred
- Active interest in the creative industries (a bonus if you’re a massive music, screen, gaming or tech fan!)
- Ability to work quickly and accurately. Also, ability to work well in a fast-paced environment, with conflicting deadlines and multiple projects
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain professionalism while meeting deadlines.
- A positive, team oriented and collaborative attitude with a “do what it takes” approach
- Proficiency in using Canva and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); familiarity with Monday.com and Docusign preferred (with the ability to learn new applications).
Key Considerations:
This role requires you to:
- work outside of normal business hours and on the weekends
- spend extended periods of time on your feet at events (event week only)
