What you will do?:

• Support the day-to-day culinary operation ensuring consistency with high quality and presentation standards
• Highly skilled at minimising waste
• Demonstrate a solid understanding HACCP and Food Safety standards
• Collaborate with the Head Chef in establishing, executing, and evaluating food service standards
• Address issues with managers, kitchen and waiting staff
• Demonstrate techniques and provide advice on cooking procedures
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts over a 7-day-a-week roster, based on the event schedule
• Have the ability to work with a high-functioning Culinary team as well as lead when needed

More about you:

• Proven experience as a Pastry Chef de Partie in a high-volume production environment
• Ability to thrive under pressure and meet strict timelines while balancing scale and quality
• Strong team player with the capacity to work independently
• Proficient in Food Control Plans/HACCP principles and maintaining accurate food safety records
• Effective communication skills to keep the team informed of production progress
• Willingness to assist in other kitchen areas is advantageous
• Creativity and passion for food with a commitment to exceptional service
• Team player mindset with the ability to mentor culinary team members
• Certificate III Commercial Cookery essential
