About Us:
Fashion Thrift Society is a dynamic and rapidly growing traveling fashion event, dedicated to promoting emerging local brands and vintage & second-hand clothing. With a strong presence in Australia and expanding in the UK, we are seeking a talented and passionate Traveling Events Coordinator to join our team.

Position Overview:
The Travelling Event Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing operational aspects of Fashion Thrift Society events, including setup, execution and pack-down. This role requires travel on weekends (Saturday and Sundays) to various event locations, with event setup the day before and coordinating the event on the day.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and execute event setup, including bump-in and pack-down activities.
  • Participate in operational roles during events, ensuring smooth execution and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Engage with event attendees, providing excellent customer service and addressing inquiries or concerns.
  • Enforce direction and action among event staff and vendors, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently.
  • Assist in the planning and preparation of events during office days, including logistics coordination, vendor communication and administrative tasks.

Requirements:

  • MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN MARKETING.
  • MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN EVENT COORDINATION.
  • Melbourne-based with the ability to work from the Brunswick office.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage with loud crowds and enforce direction effectively.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with a proactive approach to addressing attendee needs.
  • Previous experience in event coordination, preferably with large-scale events.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team in fast-paced environments.
  • Outgoing personality with a confident and authoritative demeanour.
  • Flexibility to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and occasional weekdays for pre-event preparations.
  • Willingness to travel to event locations, with all travel expenses covered.
  • Must be available for a 3-month probation period to assess suitability for the role.

Work Schedule:

  • Full-time position
  • Weekend travel required (Saturday and Sunday) for event coordination
  • Roster may vary based on event schedule and market dates.
