We are looking for a Test Analyst to join our IT Service and Quality Management team at Swinburne University of Technology. Reporting to the Testing and Quality Manager, you will be key in developing strategies to achieve business and technology outcomes for both projects and business-as-usual activities.

In this role, you will need to adapt to our diverse IT environment, which includes bespoke systems, integration projects, and off-the-shelf products. Flexibility in planning and executing tests is essential. You will be responsible for defining test approaches, ensuring effective coverage, and applying critical and strategic thinking.

Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills, especially in writing, are required.

While not all desired skills may be present initially, we value a mix of strengths and a willingness to learn on the job. You will work closely with project teams, stakeholders, vendors, and system integrators to ensure safe and effective technology changes.

About You

To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:

  • Broad hands-on testing expertise, applied in a variety of business and technical environments demonstrating flexibility of approach to execution and documentation
  • Demonstrated ability working with a range of stakeholders to identify what testing needs to be performed to address technical risk and business value.
  • Demonstrated experience involving the right people at the right time to ensure effective testing
  • Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to think critically about requirements and use models to drive efficient and effective test coverage.
  • Demonstrated experience guiding teams or project to better practices for quality
