VINERIA LUISA - Looking for a Restaurant Manager with working knowledge of restaurant operations to assist in leading our team as we get ready to open the newest of the Maestro Hospitality venues.

Vineria Luisa is a restaurant, a wine bar, and a 'ginoteria' that is a cosy 70 seat capacity across two levels. We are looking for energetic and motivated individuals to bestow that good old fashioned Italian hospitality.

We value personality, Italian hospitality, and passion in our team members, so if you have prior experience with Italian cuisine and are ready to showcase your hospitable personality, we want to hear from you!

Essential Requirements:

  • Fluent in English, spoken and written
  • Hold a current RSA Certificate
  • Full Australian working rights
  • Computer literacy is a must
  • Minimum 12-36 months in a restaurant manager role
  • Great memory for faces and ability to engage customers and staff and build excellent rapport
  • Very good overall beverage knowledge including proficiency in cocktails
  • Italian food & wine knowledge
  • Polite personal manner, both face to face and over the phone
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Understanding of hospitality cost control measures
  • Ability to keep cool under pressure
  • Strong team leading skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent grooming standards
  • Hours can vary and include weekend and holiday work

Preferred Requirements:

  • Formal hospitality studies completed
  • Formal wine studies completed
  • Experience with SevenRooms or other online reservations platform
  • Speak Italian? Bueno!
  • Prior venue opening experience

Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • Shift management
  • Ensuring the smooth and consistent delivery of service
  • Delivery of daily staff briefings prior to every service
  • Writing daily shift reports
  • Banking
  • Ensuring the smooth and consistent delivery of overall venue service
  • Ongoing staff performance management
