GW Capital Group Pty Ltd is an exclusive accounting firm based in Perth, specialising in providing tailored support to small and medium-sized businesses. Our firm offers a comprehensive suite of financial, compliance, and corporate advisory services, including Management Accounting, Tax, Business Services, Financial Reporting, and Company Secretarial services, designed to meet the diverse needs of our clients.

Due to the expansion of the business, we are currently looking for an applicant for a Full-time Accountant position.

• Managing the compliance of the assigned clients by conducting financial investigations, preparing reports, undertaking audits and advising on financial matters
• Assisting in formulating budgetary and accounting policies
• Preparing tax statements, financial statements and BAS statements at required intervals
• Preparing business income tax returns and statements for audits
• FBT Returns, Superannuation Payment, Taxable Payment Annual Report etc
• Regularly reviewing systems and making updates and improvements where necessary by maintaining internal systems
• Budgeting, forecasting and cashflow management – in both cash/accrual basis by examining operating costs and organisations' income and expenditure
• Liaise with various statutory authorities, e.g. ATO, financial advisors on behalf of clients
• Introducing and assisting the clients in maintaining accounting systems, advising on the selection and application of computer-based accounting systems
• Managing and preparation of periodical financial management accounts for clients, including examining income and expenditure, analyze revenue and expenditure against budget
• Provide Tax Advice on all taxation matters required by clients/ assigned by Director
• Keep up to date with changes to the taxation legislation
• Support and sharing workload with other team members when needed

• Australian Bachelor degree in Accounting or Overseas equivalent
• Relevant work experience for 1-3 years
• Experience with computerised financial systems and knowledge of general accounting principles
• Sound Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, BGL software knowledge
• Strong Microsoft Office and general computing skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong, professional work ethic and attention to detail
• A team player with a strong client focus
• CA/CPA completed preferred
• Proactive attitude, self-motivated and enthusiastic
