The Role:
As the Financial Accountant, you'll be responsible for managing end-to-end financial accounting functions. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and delivering actionable insights to stakeholders.
Key duties include:
- Handling month-end and year-end processes, including reconciliations and financial reporting.
- Preparing statutory accounts and supporting compliance requirements including BAS lodgements.
- Monitoring budget variances and providing financial analysis to assist in decision-making.
- Collaborating with various teams to optimize financial systems and processes.
- Supporting the audit process.
About You:
We're looking for someone who thrives in a growing business and has a knack for uncovering opportunities for process improvement. The ideal candidate will have:
- A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- CA/CPA qualifications (or working toward them).
- 3+ years of experience in a financial accounting role, preferably within the IT, technology, or similar sectors.
- Strong skills in financial reporting, data analysis, and compliance.
- Proficiency with large ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.
