Azure Cloud & DevOps Engineer

Our client is looking for a highly skilled Azure Cloud & DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and manage cloud-based network infrastructure, automation, and CI/CD solutions. This role requires deep expertise in Azure networking, security, automation (Terraform), and DevOps practices to optimize performance, reliability, and security in cloud environments.

You will work closely with Cloud Architects, DevOps Engineers, and Security Teams to deliver high-impact solutions that enable seamless scalability, automation, and efficiency across cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage Azure-based network infrastructure, including Virtual Networks (VNets), Subnets, Firewalls, Load Balancers, and VPN Gateways.
• Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, NSGs, and access controls.
• Manage and optimize cloud-based network services across Azure and GCP.
• Conduct regular network assessments and security audits to identify and mitigate risks.

• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, Bicep, and ARM templates to automate deployments.
• Collaborate with DevOps and Engineering teams to integrate network solutions with CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage and orchestrate CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and YAML.
• Automate network operations and monitoring using PowerShell, Bash, and Azure CLI.

• Provide infrastructure support to delivery teams, ensuring high availability and reliability.
• Implement and manage Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights for proactive monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Optimize cloud costs by implementing best practices for resource allocation and performance tuning.

• Engage with cross-functional teams, including Platform Engineers, Security Teams, and Cloud Architects, to enhance cloud efficiency.
• Mentor and support junior engineers in best practices for cloud networking and automation.
• Continuously improve processes and stay updated on emerging cloud technologies and DevOps trends.

What You Will Bring to the Role

Essential Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years experience in Azure Cloud Engineering, DevOps, and Infrastructure Automation.
• Strong hands-on experience in Azure Networking, Load Balancing, and Security.
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Bicep, and ARM templates.
• Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and YAML.
• Proficiency in PowerShell, Bash, and Python for automation and scripting.
• Strong knowledge of cloud security, IAM, and compliance best practices.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Firewall, VPNs, Load Balancers, and ExpressRoute.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with GCP networking and cloud security solutions.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, and container networking.
• Exposure to Ansible, Packer, or other configuration management tools.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.

Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000 exclusive of superannuation
