Advertising and Digital Manager - Marketing – Australia Zoo

Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, the Advertising and Digital Manager is responsible for developing and executing a clearly defined communications strategy in both traditional and digital mediums and for overseeing and approving the promotion of Australia Zoo.
As the Advertising and Digital Manager, your duties will include working with the Web team, implementing and coordinating all advertising and promotional campaigns for Australia Zoo, and ensuring that all advertising and visual communications adhere to the Australia Zoo brand guidelines.
This role also includes maintaining relationships with current advertising accounts and suppliers; media buying and planning (print, radio, TV, online, outdoor); managing the advertising budget and promotional partnerships; and coordinating Australia Zoo marketing collateral.
Duties Include:
- Implement and develop an annual strategic on and off-peak advertising and digital. promotional plan, including budgets and timelines and return on investment reporting.
- Develop effective advertising plans and creative advertising strategies for monthly events and any marketing initiatives.
- Plan and coordinate all advertising and collateral across print, radio, television, outdoor and digital mediums (i.e posters, flyers, print/radio advertisements etc).
- Maintain the advertising budget and spend to ensure maximum exposure of Australia Zoo and its Brands at minimal cost.
- Work with internal divisions to nurture the brand and influence how those outside the business see the brand.
- Coordinate design, layout and production of advertising and marketing materials (i.e., print, outdoor, online etc).
- Manage media buy and planning across television, print, digital and radio.
- Manage the production of Australia Zoo television commercials.
- Manage the production of Australia Zoo radio commercials.
- Manage and maintain relationships with current advertising accounts and suppliers.
- Manage incoming advertising and promotional proposals and opportunities and respond in a timely manner.
- Conduct market research and communicate statistics based on target demographic.
- Manage all promotional campaigns and partnerships for Australia Zoo.
- Ensure all imagery and text on collateral pieces adhere to Australia Zoo brand guidelines.
- Work with the design team to enhance and create the Australia Zoo brand through updated zoo images.
- Manage and execute all advertising and digital communications in line with agreed plan.
- Develop and implement the digital and social media strategies.
- Achieve agreed KPI’s.
- Engage with senior managers to communicate key messages.
- Work in collaboration with all business divisions to establish a team approach driven towards mutual success.
- Assist with events when required.
- Analyse and review activity, cost and forecast data for all areas of digital marketing responsibility.
- Delegate and manage projects/tasks to the Web team.
- Management of new digital projects covering website & App development.
Essential Criteria:
- Hold current Driver’s Licence.
- Available to work weekends, public holidays, and school holiday periods.
- Computer Literacy.
- Professional Discretion.
- Knowledge of industry and sector.
- Ability to deal with people whilst withholding maturity.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Experience in the mobile advertising market and / or closing deals with app developers.
- Capacity to deliver budget and timeline objectives.
- The ability to conduct research and update the team with relevant information.
Preferred Criteria:
- Experience in a similar role.
- Current First Aid qualification.
