Drive meaningful partnerships that create impact. Shape opportunities, grow relationships, and help Today work with organisations that share our values.

About the role

As a Senior Partnerships Manager, you’ll play a key role in shaping and securing the work we do. You’ll develop meaningful relationships with clients, collaborators, and partners—helping Today grow in alignment with our values. You’ll work closely with leadership and project teams to identify new opportunities, craft compelling proposals, and ensure our partnerships drive real-world impact.

Your focus

Strategic partnerships and business development:

  • Identify, cultivate, and win new business opportunities that align with Today’s strategic priorities.
  • Lead proposals and pitches (writing, shaping, and refining them from start to finish).
  • Work with project teams to shape commercially viable engagements that deliver meaningful outcomes.

Client and partner relationship management:

  • Maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring alignment and long-term impact.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, understanding client needs and connecting them with the right expertise within Today.
  • Facilitate collaboration between internal teams and external stakeholders.

Market and industry engagement:

  • Stay informed about trends and opportunities that could influence Today’s work.
  • Represent Today at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
  • Contribute to Today’s thought leadership and external presence in key markets.

Collaboration and internal contribution:

  • Work closely with leadership and practice teams to refine our partnerships strategy.
  • Support internal processes around business development, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Contribute to a strong, collaborative culture, actively participating in the Delivery and Partnerships community of practice.

Requirements

To thrive in this role, you'll bring:

  • A track record in partnerships, business development, or client management in a relevant field (consulting, design, social impact, or tech).
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills and a strategic, consultative approach to business development.
  • Strong communication skills, particularly in crafting compelling proposals and pitches.
  • A deep understanding of Today’s work and the ability to align it with client and market needs.
  • A collaborative mindset—comfortable working across teams and disciplines.

Our commitment

Even if you don’t perfectly match every criterion, we encourage you to apply. Research shows that many qualified individuals hesitate to apply unless they meet all requirements—we prioritise potential over a checklist.

We warmly welcome applications from all backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, individuals with disabilities, those from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds, mature-age workers, and members of the LGBTIQA+ community.
