Job Description

The Finance Business Partner will lead on-
  • Perform and coordinate complex financial management activities such as budgeting, planning, modelling, forecasting, financial analysis, reporting, and performance monitoring in line with organisational policies and strategic priorities.
  • Develop and maintain operational knowledge of costing systems, models, and procedures to ensure accurate reporting, consistent service delivery, and efficient issue resolution.
  • Provide specialist advice and support on monthly reporting, forecasting, financial analysis, and administration of finance systems and processes.
  • Contribute to strategic planning by developing strategies, initiatives, and solutions to enhance financial capability and address issues, trends, and opportunities.
  • Participate in and implement continuous improvement activities for financial systems, processes, performance measures, and service efficiency.
  • Deliver evidence-based insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making, including complex financial and data analysis to improve financial capability and operational performance.
  • Manage and advise on financial risk issues, ensuring compliance with statutory obligations, regulatory standards, and organisational protocols.
  • Review and enhance finance policies, practices, program activities, and operational frameworks, including establishing effective control and compliance monitoring mechanisms.
  • Support projects, policy development, and updates to financial management initiatives, procedures, and relevant legislation.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with internal stakeholders, providing expert financial advice and support.
  • Undertake additional duties as directed.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Finance Business Partner should have:

  • CA/CPA Qualified
  • Proven experience in a similar role within the Education sector- desirable but not essential
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
  • A high level of competency in financial systems and processes
