Your Role

Main Tasks/Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical engineering support for the design and development of new systems for Atlas Copco Tooling solutions
  • Test, maintain, and modify existing equipment systems to meet operational specifications
  • Analyse data and present findings in written reports
  • Manage Operations execution of Industrial Technique equipment installation and commissioning engineering projects
  • Work collaboratively with design engineers, operation engineers, purchasers, and other internal staff
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, contractors, and relevant authorities
  • Project management
  • Provide technical engineering advice and consultancy support for field services, assisting the regions in solving technical issues, including fast feedback resolutions on emerging technical engineering problems and feedback on technical evolutions and changes introduced from the product company
  • Purchase testing equipment
  • Develop and write test procedures for Industrial Technique equipment installation and commissioning
  • Help promote all Industrial Technique products and services
  • Continuously improve efficiency to achieve shorter field service response times and lower costs
  • Provide technical support to Marketing, Sales, Administration (warranty claims), and Support of the Industrial Technique Team
  • Support long-term training development by providing field service engineering experience to the Industrial Technique teams in several ways:
  • Attend Product Company and Suppliers training courses
  • Travel as required to branches and customer sites for product technical engineering support and training
  • Monitor expertise of engineering technicians in each branch for competence and advise
  • Support the Technical Support Supervisor by reporting on technical support functions, including technical failure reports
  • Understand and ensure compliance with relevant health and safety regulations and quality standards
To succeed, you will need
  • 1 to 2 years of technical field service experience maintaining and repairing industrial air equipment (Atlas Copco and other) or equivalent
  • Experience in repairing tightening tools at customer sites and workshops
  • Experience in managing service contracts and turnaround times
  • A clear driving license and the ability to travel up-country
  • High level of customer service through excellent interpersonal skills and professionalism
