Kitchen Coordinator - Hagen's Organic Butcher - East Brunswick Village
Hagen's Organics is seeking a Kitchen Coordinator to support and oversee the day-to-day culinary operations at our East Brunswick store. This location features a hot food takeaway menu focusing on organic hot rotisserie chicken.In this hands-on role, you’ll lead a small kitchen team, maintain high food standards, and ensure smooth service in a fast-paced retail food environment. You will utilise your kitchen skills to maintain our menu items and follow strict HACCP procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate daily kitchen operations, ensuring consistent execution of our hot food menu using Hagen's organic produce.Lead the small kitchen team in high-volume production of hot food items, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to production schedules for product freshness and availability.
Maintain kitchen hygiene and organization, adhering to food safety and sanitation regulations, utilising operations software.
Oversee maintenance of kitchen equipment, addressing any issues.
Maintain accurate stock records.
Strictly adhere to the purchase planning schedule.
Support junior staff members, fostering a positive team environment under the guidance of the Store Manager & Executive Chef.
Partner with the retail team to provide product knowledge and support customer inquiries about prepared food.
Assist with front-of-house duties as needed, involving retail customer service.
What We're Looking For:
Minimum 2 years' experience in a senior kitchen position, preferably within a fast casual environment.Experience in high-volume hot food production and efficient kitchen operations.
Passion for cooking with high-quality ingredients and maintaining our menu to a high standard. Enthusiasm for rotisserie cooking is valued.
Commercial awareness, focused on minimising waste and maximising productivity.
Excellent organisational, communication, and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Ability to adhere to standard operating procedures and maintain consistency.
Proactive and solution-oriented attitude with decision-making skills.
Comprehensive knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
