About the role
The legal Officer works under the direction of Chief Compliance Officer in collaboration with staff members in other departments. The Legal Officer is responsible for providing legal support to all departments and the company as a financial services licenser.
Responsibilities- Provide legal advice for company's operations, including the review, preparation and amendment of relevant legal documentation.
- Contract Management: Review and manage contracts with third parties to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.Monitor contract execution to ensure adherence to terms and conditions.
- Analyze changes in financial regulations and corporate laws, advising management on their potential impact on the company’s operations.
- Work closely with the Chief Compliance Officer to address regulatory inquiries and ensure timely submission of regulatory reports.
- Provide legal support for licensing applications, renewals, and other interactions with financial regulatory bodies.
- Act as the key point of contact for legal matters across departments, including Sales, Marketing, Back Office, and Human Resources.
- Liaise with external legal counsel, regulators, and other stakeholders to obtain and provide information relevant to the company’s operations.
- Bachelor's degree in Law or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Good knowledge of Corporations law and financial regulations.
- Excellent drafting skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
