The Opportunity
Are you passionate about international education and have a knack for creating impactful communications? Western is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented International Communications Coordinator to join our International team. This role is pivotal in enhancing our international profile, reach, and reputation through strategic marketing and communications efforts.
As the International Communications Coordinator, you will provide strategic advice and support to various business units within Western Sydney International, producing high-quality and impactful collateral that promotes international partnerships, student recruitment, and student mobility programs.Your work will directly impact the international student experience, ensuring it is positive and enriching. In this role, you will collaborate closely with both internal and external stakeholders, to ensure all materials align with the University’s brand identity and comply with legislative requirements for international student recruitment.
You will be responsible for designing and implementing creative communication strategies that resonate with key stakeholders, including prospective international students, education agents, and institutional partners. Your key responsibilities will include writing, editing, and producing a variety of digital and print publications, such as student guides, admissions documents, and newsletters.
You will work alongside the Digital Marketing Campaign Manager to create consistent and compelling messaging across all international communications. Additionally, you will coordinate and manage onboarding processes to enhance the international student experience, from pre-departure communications to orientation.
This is a full-time, fixed-term position until 6 March 2026 based at Western’s Parramatta South Campus, although travel to other campuses of the University may be required.Please review the position description for further information.
About You
You are a creative and experienced communications professional with a relevant degree or extensive professional experience in publications or communications. You have a solid understanding of communications theory and practice, and are skilled in designing innovative and effective communication programs.Your expertise with tools like In Design, Photoshop, and email marketing platforms is top-notch. You excel in professional writing, with a proven track record of developing engaging print and web-based materials for the international market. Your project management skills are exceptional, allowing you to juggle multiple activities and meet deadlines with ease.
Your interpersonal and oral communication skills are outstanding, and you have a keen understanding of cultural differences and sensitivities.

Remuneration Package: HEW Level 7 $121,056 to $130,572 p.a. (comprising Salary of $102,294 to $110,335 p.a., plus Superannuation and Leave Loading)
