HSEQ Advisor
Nature of position: Permanent, Full Time
Location: Morwell
Reporting Line: HSEQ Business Partner
Key Responsibilities
The HSEQ Advisor supports management and employees in the implementation of policies, systems, programs, and initiatives, ensuring local legislative requirements are met.You will also promote continuous improvement and compliance with the requirements of Service Stream clients.
- Provide advice and assistance with health and safety legislative compliance
- Assist in the management of local HSE reporting systems and maintain current and relevant information for assurance, incident reporting, and consultation processes.
- Plan, implement, and provide internal training to employees to enhance safety awareness and compliance
- Conduct safety meetings, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance, evaluate performance and identify corrective actions
- Perform Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Control (HIRAC) and assist employees with hazard and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential safety risks
- Relevant industry experience in safety management
- Strong people skills with the capacity to listen to others, identify their needs and provide appropriate guidance and support
- Well-developed communications skills with a demonstrated ability to engage people across all levels of an organisation.
