A leading organisation in the healthcare sector, looking for a budget accountant to join the team. In this role, you'll help drive financial sustainability and performance across a complex, multi-site organization that's committed to caring for its patients, people, community, and the environment.

The Role

As a Budget Accountant within the Group Planning team, you will play a key role in delivering a robust budget framework to support financial strategy across the health network. Working closely with senior finance leaders, divisional stakeholders, and peers, you will:

Support annual budget development processes, including data entry, analysis, and review
Help establish budget frameworks, guidelines, and timetables that reflect the scale and complexity of the organisation
Identify discrepancies, analyse trends, and deliver actionable financial insights
Contribute to business case reviews for high-level decision-making
Collaborate across finance teams to ensure consistent, transparent reporting
Partner closely with the business partners in the organisation to support stakeholders and cost centre managers

Your Profile

You are analytical and strategic, with a genuine interest in contributing to the health sector. You're comfortable working with data at both macro and micro levels and thrive in complex organisational environments.

Essential:

Demonstrated understanding of budget processes in large or complex organisations
Strong communication skills with the ability to influence, resolve conflict, and build relationships
Excellent time management and problem-solving capabilities
Strategic thinking and attention to detail
A tertiary qualification in business, finance, or a related discipline

Desirable:

Experience within the public health or government-funded sector
Familiarity with multi-site operations

This role is part time - with 2 days in office and 1 day from home.
