Diverseco is seeking an experienced and successful Business Development Manager to join our Queensland sales team.

About the Role

Based in our Underwood Queensland branch, we are seeking a highly motivated and successful Business Development Manager with a strong background in automation technologies. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and driving sales growth in the industrial automation market.

Your expertise in these areas will be essential in understanding customer requirements, providing technical guidance, and delivering solutions that meet their needs.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy for the industrial automation market in consultation with key stakeholders, including Product Managers, Engineering Project Team and relevant State General Managers.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, lead generation, and networking.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key customers, strategic partners, and industry influencers that further enhances the realisation of sales opportunities.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations that showcases the range & capability of Diverseco’s equipment, products and services.
  • Generate sales proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals to meet and potentially exceed sales budgets and gross profit targets.
  • Maintain your knowledge of key industry trends, competitors, and emerging technologies in the automation market.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide feedback and insights that drives continuous improvement and further innovation.
  • Continually deliver exceptional customer service that drives positive outcomes and improved sales and business development.
About You
  • You possess exemplary customer service skills, being both positive and proactive with strong accuracy and attention to detail in completing and follow through on all aspects of the sales process. Also a solid network of contacts that enables a wide range of industry leads and opportunities.
  • Must have a proven sales achievement record and have worked in a capital sales role which sold a technical range of products and solutions and have ongoing relationships with a multitude of industries that require automation. Experience in the weighing / inspection industry is an advantage.
  • You are self-confident, persuasive, can influence others and possesses the ability to analyse customer needs and deliver exceptional outcomes to suit those needs.
  • You have discipline of CRM usage, and a strong proficiency in all Microsoft packages.
  • Be a strong team player and have commitment to both individual goal achievement and team goal achievement.
  • Experience in sales and technical scoping of bespoke industrial automation equipment, preferably in the Robotics sector.
  • Extensive product knowledge of the hardware and componentry associated with industrial automation equipment.
  • Possesses a Technical/Trade or engineering background (electrical trade, electrical / mechanical engineering) – highly desirable.
  • Experience within the fabrication and manufacturing industries – highly desirable
  • You have full working rights in Australia.
