About the Role

We are seeking a capable, organised, self-starter who enjoys accuracy, detail and follow through as well as building trusted relationships with clients, suppliers and subcontractors.

You will be assisting the Senior Project Manager behind the scenes with projects from start to finish. Your role will involve budgeting (an eye for numbers is key) planning & scheduling (keeping things on track will come naturally to you) problem solving and negotiating (you will have a calm and collected approach and the ability to keep calm under pressure)

You will be responsible for coordinating commercial painting projects which range from 1 day jobs to projects that can take over 6 months to complete. You will work closely alongside the Project Manager who is responsible for the overall execution of all projects and be the go-to person for all enquiries from preparing quotes, dealing with client queries, scheduling work and rescheduling due to weather, variations to scope as well as organising relevant permits for each project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the coordination of commercial painting projects from inception to completion, with support from the Project Manager.
  • Assist with overseeing budgets, planning, and contract negotiation with exceptional administrative skills.
  • Collaborate with team members and clients to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Assist with WHS systems ensuring compliance.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, fostering trust and delivering exceptional service.
  • Assist with building out systems and procedures as required

Requirements

Requirements
  • Minimum 1+ years of experience in a similar project coordination role or an administrative role with client interaction.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently.
  • A friendly, respectful approach to customers, suppliers & subcontractors.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel); basic knowledge of the painting or construction industry is a plus.
  • A current driver’s license is required.
