Job Description
As a Senior Accountant you will oversee a portfolio of clients, and assist with training and mentoring of junior team members. You will be responsible, but not limited to the following:
- Preparation of Financial Statements and Income Tax Returns for Individuals, Companies, Trusts, Partnerships and Superannuation Funds.
- Offer expert advice on business operations and tax planning.
- Liaising directly with clients.
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate will have a positive attitude, have a strong sense of business acumen, have at least 4 years' experience in a similar business advisory role and have an excellent understanding of Australian taxation and compliance. The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:
- CA/CPA qualified or nearing completion.
- At least 4+ years experience in a similar business advisory role.
- Excellent hands on and technical knowledge of Australian taxation and compliance.
- Demonstrated experience of stakeholder engagement.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software (Eg. Xero, MYOB, Quickbooks, Excel).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
