JOB DESCRIPTION

1. Install and maintain various but not limited to – NBN Co and Telstra fibre

1. Troubleshoot and resolve fibre optic network issues promptly and efficiently
2. Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver

1. Perform splicing, testing and fault finding on fibre optic and copper cables

1. Conduct site audits to ensure the highest quality standards are met.
2. Complete other site- related duties as required.
3. Maintain compliance with safety protocols and industry standards.
4. Conduct basic configuration and testing of network equipment , such as

switches and wireless devices as directed.

PERSON REQUIREMENTS

1. Relevant but not limited to certifications, such as Certificate III in

1. Comprehensive understanding of fibre cable types, connectors, racks and splice

1. Awareness of diverse cultural backgrounds
2. Language skills other than in English
3. Knowledge of relevant Australian Standards.
4. Knowledge of WHS legislation.

1. Proven experience in the telecommunication industry.
2. Proven experience as a Fibre Splicer, including live network cutovers.
3. Expertise in fusion splicing, OTDR testing, and troubleshooting techniques.
4. Some experience in working in a team environment.
